Dunn for K-Rod in a Keeper.

Postby BluePhog » Wed Dec 10, 2008 7:40 am

His K-Rod for my Dunn. 5x5 with OBP and SLG instead of AVG and HR (so Dunn's walks somewhat offset his AVG). Keep 10 forever.

I know Power is hard to get, but K-Rod would be a lot better than any closer I could pick up in the draft (BJ Ryan, for example). My 10 Keepers as it stands now.

No. In a normal 5x5, Dunn for K-Rod would be about even. If you substitute OBP for AVG, Dunn becomes roughly like Magglio Ordonez...with twice as much power. Dunn was top 10 in the NL in OBP last year.

I wouldn't do it. Those scoring categories raise Dunn's rank. There will be some new closers because of trades. It will be much easier to get saves , as opposed to a slugger. With your league not using ave , there's no negative value for Dunn. He also has eligibility at 1B,LF,and RF.

I'd take Dunn and BJ Ryan over K-Rod and any postion player you could get in that spot. Don't do the deal.

I would take every one of your hitters over K Rod. I'd just find saves in the draft.

I'd probably keep Dunn over K-Rod in a standard 5x5, but more power to keeping Dunn in this league where average is out the window and OBP/SLG are strongly considered. Add to the fact that K-Rod didn't have a great year statistically speaking on top of injury concerns when you take away the record number of saves.

I would stick with Dunn especially with the change in categories as Dunn is weakest in AVG.

Dunn is gold in a league w/o average. Don't trade him.
