As of yesterday afternoon Wyoming was cheapest at $3.20 for a statewide average, but Missouri was cheapest for a few weeks earlier this year and is generally among the lowest states. I saw $3.69 on the way into work today. Good thing bike weather will be here again shortly.

People in MA don't live at 4,500 feet. Really though, the cold, snow and ice wouldn't deter me as much if I didn't have to be to work at 4:00 a.m. It's hard to get motivated to wake up even earlier and then have to bike through freezing cold and rain or snow.
