I am currently in a keeper league and I was offered Mike Alives for Jered Weaver. Im wondering if I should take the deal?

I'd also keep Weaver.

Weaver isn't spectacular, but he has decent K numbers and he can be better than the 4.33 ERA he finished the season with. Trading Weaver for Aviles is a big risk. Sure it could pay off if Aviles is able to repeat his performance in 08 over a full season, but the chance of him holding more value than Weaver at the end of 09 is very little IMO.

Stick with Weaver.

Keep Weaver. He will get you some Ks, and has the chance to produce an ERA below 4. I don't see any reason why you would start Aviles over Jeter in 09.
