Milledge or Hermedia

Postby speedman » Sat Dec 06, 2008 7:15 pm

I have been offered either Milledge or Hermedia as part of a deal.

Which one has the most mid term and most long term upside. OPS is key for my format....

Cheers, Speedman.

Milledge easily. He's a young player on a developing team. If they get Tex look out.

I'm done with Hermida after last season. !+)

I'd take Milledge as well, higher upside I think.

i agree milledge has bigger upside because of speed potential and guaranteed playing time. i havent given up on hermida yet, still think he will hit for higher average and power than milledge in 09.

I haven't given up on Hermida, but I would still take Milledge here.

Milledge for sure. Has the better upside for this season, and the future.

I don't know why there's no love for Hermida. I know he was disappointing last year , but he's still a top prospect.
As far as projections go, he will do better in runs, rbi's , hr's, and ops. Milledge projects better in ave and sb's . I think it's way too early to give up on Hermida. I even think he'll hit for a higher average than Milledge this year. He's in a better lineup as well. I have to go with Hermida. Don't get me wrong , I do like Milledge. They are pretty even in rank in my opinion. But given that ops is a factor, Hermida's better walk rate and slg. % gives him an edge.
