So A-Rod (2 yr) and (say) Fielder (4 yr) for M. Cab (3 yr), Santana (2 yr), Furcal (3 yr)? I'd say that's a reasonable offer - probably slightly in your favor, but certainly not something that gets you kicked out of negotiations.
Right - I was just tossing up Fielder as an example to make the offer a little more concrete. FWIW, though, I'd rather have the next 4 years of Fielder than the next 4 years of Rollins and probably Berkman.
I don't think your 12th round pick is going to add much to the offer - it's the equivalent of a 21st round pick in a redraft league.
As I stated in my post. When we ask for a pick we have to include a pick back. We all need to have 16 total picks. I figured its easier to start at 12 and go down. But my thinking was to go no lower then maybe 9-10. Its a 12 team league. I forgot to include that.
Right - my league works the same way. Sorry I wasn't very clear - I didn't mean that you shouldn't include the 12th round pick (obviously you have to), just that it won't sway him. Like I said, though, I think it's a very good offer.
Well he'll read his email one of these days and see the offer.Worse thing he can say is no and not counter. If he just says NO. I'll move on.I've been offered the 11th overall pick(1st round ) in the draft for Santana. But He also wants my 9th round pick. This is from another owner. His team is depleted because of players that contracts expired. He needs players..With his current team he would be going back with guys that would be drafted 14-15-16 rounds or not at all.
Here is a list of players from the offer for Santana. As I said before. The number after the players name is the year they go back to the draft. He doesn't have much to work with. Maybe I can get another good pick for aother late round pick. Maybe I can include somebody like Granderson and get a 3rd round pick .Give him two or three players and two picks for his 1st and 3rd round. thoughts? I sent an offer on the site . Arod and his #1 pick ( 8th overall ) for M. Cabrera, Santana and Furcal. I added a note saying with Frod signing to close for the Mets it adds to Santanas value. I also received an offer from another owner asking for Furcal. he offered me Kevn Koufmouff. Sorry can't spell his name and his 9th round pick. He forgot I have to include a pick back. I rejected it anyway.

Yeah, Kouzmanoff (sp?) is worthless in a keep-9 league. That offer is essentially an 18th rd pick for Furcal and your last round pick. Not worth it.
Hope the A-Rod trade works out. Looks pretty fair.
I just heard back from an owner . He wants me to post an offer on the site for Santana, Furcal and my 12th round pick for his 1st round pick which is 3rd over all. They had the lottery yesterday and I have the second overall pick and the second pick every round except the 11th.
