What's the max you would offer for Braun, including players and draft picks?
League Settings:
12 team mixed H2H, Keep 6 at the end of this year, can keep forever Positions: C, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, LF, CF, RF, UTIL, SPx2, RPx2, Px3, BNx6 Hitting Categories: Standard 5 + OPS, K Pitching Categories: W, SV, ERA, WHIP, L, K/BB [35 min. IP/wk]
My keeper-worthy players:
D. Wright P. Fielder C. Quentin (LF) C. Sabathia M. Kemp (CF, RF) J. Papelbon J. Upton (RF) S. Kazmir
His Keeper-worthy players:
J. Reyes R. Braun (LF) F. Hernandez B. Phillips A. Gonzalez C. Hart (CF) N. McLouth (CF, RF) E. Santana
He's obviously got a good set and he's a savvy owner, so I'd have to offer either top tier talent in a 2 for 1 or offer up significant picks.
I think Sabathia could be included in the trade. CC has close enough value to Braun, but having Braun is certainly an upgrade over Sabathia. You could thrown in Papelbon, but I'm not sure he would keep him.
I agree, CC for Braun would be a good move, but I doubt he goes for that 1-1.
I don't really like keeping closers especially for with so few keepers, so you could perhaps include him in the deal. Maybe something like CC/Papelbon for Braun/Ervin, that would be stellar if you could get that...

I agree with oddmanout (again) but I don't think you'll be able to pull that off. Try it out, and if he rejects, offer Fielder instead of CC.
Rocinante2: you know Rocinante2: its easy to dismiss the orioles as a bad team ofanrex: go on Rocinante2: i'm done Rocinante2: lmao
1) I think ya'll are right that Sabathia/Papelbon won't really get it done. 2) I'm a little hesitant to keep 4 OF (Kemp, Quentin, Braun, Upton)
With that in mind, what do ya'll think about packages centered around Kemp and/or Quentin? Probably makes sense to build one around Quentin, since he and Braun play the same position (though there are worse problems than having Braun at LF and Quentin at UTIL).
Quentin+Kemp is probably a bit too much, but I might have to overpay to get a 1st rounder who's only 24. Quentin, Kazmir and a 2nd round draft pick get it done?
Good luck with the Quentin/Kazmir offer, 'cause if I have his players I don't have to keep any pitching as it stands, and if I move Braun to you I'll be forced to keep Kazmir and I don't think I'd make that deal. As it stands his outfield ( I'm assuming you use lf/cf/rf) and the better part of his infield is set, he has power-speed-rbi-runs-avg, why screw that up by keeping an arm?

Yeah, that's a pretty good point. My thought is that a 25 yr old Kazmir is worth a back-round keeper in this format...but probably not to either me or this guy. I'll have to find a different trading partner for him.
The second round pick wouldn't do anything for you? It's essentially the equivalent of, say, Alexei Ramirez, Joey Votto, Carlos Zambrano...your choice of one of those guys + Quentin wouldn't be enough? If not, how high of another draft pick would I have to include? Quentin + 2nd + 5th?
