What about JJ Hardy?? Since my team is dealing with Utley’s injury and Furcal’s history I'm thinking this is best pick. It’ll give me a strong UT and a very solid MI backup for when Phillips fills in for Utley in the beginning of the season or if/when Furcal goes down.
Any other opinions would be great.

Can you trade the pick? I think Abreu is in for a down year. If I HAD to pick in your position, I'd go Chipper and maybe try to move him to a 3B hungry team?

I need to put a word in here for Aaron Harang. Guy was drafted as a borderline ace in 2008
2008 was awful. Why it was awful is interesting.
1) His first 11 starts he posted was posting Harang posted a 3.5 ERA with his normal 3.0 K/BB ratio.
2) He made a relief appearance in late May worked 3 innings on short rest.
3) The next 10 starts were horrible 9.0 ERA, K/bb rate down 2.3
4) Last 8 starts ERA 2.8 K/BB rate back over 3.0.
What happend, did the relief appearance throw him off, a mechcanical issue for those 10 starts. He also have horrid run support early in the season.
I think he is a sleeper, and maybe worthy of this pick.
If you want to stay with offense, I like the idea of drafting Chipper and working out a deal.

This. Chipper is far and away the best talent on that list. Easily a top 75 talent and you are getting with 130 players off of the board! Pick him and use his value to deal for what you need.

one last question,
Another team that has no CI or 3b is looking to pick up chipper. He's offered Bobby Jenks for my #1 pick.
Would you do it? again thanks for any help
