I'd be trading Chris B. Young (5 years) for Ben Sheets (3) straight up in a dynasty league. This is roto, and w/ Dunn on my roster, I don't really need Young to kill my average as well.
Depends who replaces CBY in the OF/DH and what does your rotation look like?
I can understand the dump because of AVG, but it depends on what else your roster looks like. Either way before making this deal, I would shop around Dunn just to have something to compare what quality SP you'd be getting.
I'd stay away from Sheets in a dynasty format. As the above poster mentioned, his injury prone nature is not something I'd want to deal with every season.
Do you have a reasonable chance to win next year? If so then I would probably do the trade. If you are a long shot to win then I would keep Young. Sheets is getting kind of old and won't stay healthy but win he pitches you know he will put up good numbers. You can't say that about Young. The only thing Young has going for him is that he is still young (lol) and has a lot of talent. If Ariz can get him to stop swinging so much he could be a 30/30 guy but that is a big IF.

Any reason why it will? I don't think it will. I think he's a .250 hitter, maybe .260 in a lucky year. His minor league average was .266, and that was helped by a year in the PCL. Plus, his power and speed went down.
Sheets is only 30, threw 198 innings last year. I like Sheets here.

I agree with Sheets being injury prone. He did well this year, missed a start or two, but I was shocked he lasted so long based on his past. I'd stay away from him as well in a Dynasty format.

Big Ben is an old 30 and Young just turned 25 so a sophomore slump in '08 should not have been surprising.

Out of the frying pan and into the fire , Young/Dunn/Sheets all have their faults, so the question is which faults can the rest of your roster make up for
- what does the rest of your starting pitching look like? how 'bout your bats?
in a vacuum I prefer Dunn over Young over Sheets, but you have a group that needs to be addressed.
