We start C, 1B, 2B, SS, 3B, CI, MI, 4 OF, U, 5 SP, and 3 RP. The league has a $260 Salary Cap
I must designate TWO Frachise Players and two players will be voted off of my team. For the two vote-offs I will receive a $4 "home town discount" at the league draft next March.
Who should I keep? WHIR
I did not invent the wheel I was the crooked spoke adjacent.
Santana and Quentin. I would rather have a SP than a C. Too many times has a catcher had a great year only to follow it up with a sub par performance. ie: McCann and Russell Martin. Santana is still young and has the ability to be a top notch SP and at $5 you are hardly taking a gamble on him.

The last spot comes down to Soto, Ervin, Greinke or Gallardo. I think I would go with Ervin, as he improved heaps last season especially with his control and managing his home/away splits which were atrocious the previous year. I think Gallardo would be a close 2nd, as I really see him developing into a great pitcher, but he just hasn't thrown all that many innings in the bigs yet to instill that sort of confidence.
I think Soto will go for more money in the re-auction than the other guys you're considering.
I like Ervin Santana quite a bit, but mak is correct - and I'd add that I that I think Soto's actual value (not just his perceived value) will exceed Ervin's.
