With Smoak and Alonso at 3 & 4, what is it about Hosmer that you don't like?

I'll say ...

1. Pedro Alvarez - Most interesting talent w/ top potential
2. Justin Smoak - Seriously, in Texas? ... that is all
3. Gordon Beckham - Great pop and home park for a middle INF, and could move off to 2B for more value
4. Eric Hosmer - Have to wait, but has an amazing power bat
5. Yonder Alonso - solid across the board in a great park
6. Brian Matusz - Pretty safe top end SP option, but doesn't have #1 potential
7. Buster Posey - Not sold on his bat, but since he is a catcher I'll give this spot
8. Tim Beckham - Not sold on his bat either, and will likely take a while
9. Brett Wallace - Just not a big fan

With Smoak and Alonso at 3 & 4, what is it about Hosmer that you don't like?

I'm not sure I trust the Royals to develop him properly and I think Smoak and Alonso are more polished and will move more quickly.
