Curious to see how it is this year. I'm not getting out in it, but the wife and mother-in-law will.

I don't think it will be a run of the mill Black Friday this year. I think it will either be much busier than usual (as everyone has saved for this day), or it will be much slower than unusual (no "hot" item/toy/game system or whatever this year - read an article about that last week).

So I'm curious to see how it goes.

i just ordered a new HD Camcorder on Monday (Canon Vixia HG20)...got a great deal on-line and didnt expect a better Black Friday deal (usually seems like all the really good deals are on trash)

we're in the market for a new LCD computer monitor and 32" LCD TV as well, but i havent seen anything advertised that makes me want to run out at 4 AM and stand in an hour long line. i'm not looking for top of the line stuff, but i'm not going to buy junk just to save a $100.

I don't plan on going out this year. Getting up early only to see 100 other people beat you to it.

I actually knew a group of people who right after Thanksgiving dinner and camped out at Circuit City overnight

ive seen a TON of low priced 32 inch lcd's, especially 720's. personally id opt for the 1080p, but if it doesnt matter much to you, you can get a fairly nice 720i for cheap.
