Hamels for Markakis, WHIR

Postby labardo31 » Tue Nov 25, 2008 7:40 pm

Keeper league, 8 guys per year. I plan on keeping 5 bats and 3 arms. Currently I'm sitting at 6 bats, 2 arms.

I'm thinking of offering my Markakis for Cole Hamels. Fair? Even? Balanced?

I'm also considering moving Corey Hart for a lesser pitcher....

Current keepers:
Jose Reyes, Chase Utley, Garrett Atkins, Matt Holliday, Nick Markakis, Corey Hart
Dan Haren, Felix Hernandez

Thanks in advance....leave a link if you'd like an opinion on an issue of your own.

The other owner is interested. So I don't think its a matter of it taking more or less.

I'd rather have Markakis. He's steadily become a better player and I expect him to have a breakout season next year.

Have you thrown Hart's name around for an arm? I know his value isn't necessarily at its highest, but if you could pull a Lester-type pitcher in return for Hart I'd rather do that.

I think they're fairly even. I would take whoever played at a position that I felt I needed more.

I hoped I help you. :*)

If you can give Markakis and get Hamels, I'd go for it.

I think Markakis for Hamels is a pretty even swap. I would definitely try to shop Atkins though, his home/road splits spell bad news if he is dealt...

I'd rather go with your 6 bats and 2 SP's.

If your set on 3 SP's, it's not a bad deal for Hamels. What could you get for Atkins and Hart? Float those names around.
