Better Keeper- Vmart or Alexei Ramirez??? WHIR!!

14 team standard 5x5. who is the better keeper in this format? Both play shallow positions. Vmart is coming off a lost season but is more proven, Alexei coming off a good season but has less of a track record. Pretty torn on this one, a lot of people either love Alexei or despise him. Im leaning towards Vmart. personally.

My tentative offensive keepers minus Vmart or Alexei:

I could actually keep both instead of one + Ben Sheets, although my pitching is very shaky with no ace so i could use him. My pitchers are

Im definitely keeping Felix, Cain, and Price, and was leaning on sheets and one of Vmart and Alexei. Even though most are going to say forget Sheets, if you HAD to choose between Vmart or Alexei, who would it be????

I'd lean more towards Alexei especially since he'll eligible for multiple positions and will help in more categories...

I'd definitely go with Ramirez here. I'm staying away from V-Mart next season. You can say Ramirez is unproven in the Majors, but this guy has been playing pro-ball in Cuba for some time. I wouldn't worry too much about him. I was surprised he was able to have such a good season in his first year, but now that he did, I think he can continue to succeed. Also, keeping Sheets is a good move IMO.

I liked your idea of keeping both Alexi and V Mart and dumping Sheets.

As you said C and middle infield, esp SS, is thin.

On the other hand, SP is deep.

Most mocks I have seen this year have good value SP going mid rounds. You should be able to pickup good SP.

V Mart if he returns to form is a top 5 catcher and a valuable commodity. He looked good in September. Have read reports Cleveland might trade Shoppach for pitching, so he must be OK if they are even thinking that.

I wouldn't count on Sheets for more than 150 IP. I don't think he deserves keeper status.

If you go with only one, I agree with the above posts and would keep Alexei.
