Should I make this upgrade trade?

Quentin/Furcal/5th rd pick for Matt Holliday?

It's a 10 team, 5x5 vanilla, roto league that's been around for seven years - so this stuff has gotten more important every year. :-D

We keep 10 players and draft 15 - so the 5th rd pick would really be a 15th.

Is Holliday worth the upgrade of Quentin and Furcal?

I was on the fence about keeping Furcal, so he was borderline for me. I have Jose Reyes at SS so I don't need him for that position but rather a Util spot.

Would you trade Quentin to get Holliday?

i am not a fan of holliday away from coors...i think u will see a drop in all numbers across the board......i like quintons upside..i pass

I'd much rather have Quentin due to the trade. You'll find many people who think Holliday will be fine outside of Coors though.

I don't think that the 5th rd pick needs to be included. There should be some pretty good players in the 140-150 range.

And even then I might like Quentin more than Holliday for next season. It's a good time to try and buy Holliday, but I don't think this is the right price.

I'd proly hang onto Quentin/Furcal. Maybe try for Braun or Hamilton.

I would take Quentin. I just don't think Holliday will hit like he did in Colorado. Take a look at his home/away splits and keep in mind he will be playing in a pitchers park. Holliday, though, won't drop that far in production so if you are a Holliday fan than drop the draft pick out of the equation and make the trade.

Definetly don't do this. i maybe would actually rather have quentin than holliday.

Its been said a few times, but let me break the camels back...don't do the trade. Holliday is an uncertainty to an extent for this year and Quentin is a beast. Make a deal elsewhere for someone who is more likely to repeat their numbers if you really want to make a deal. Braun would be a great starting place if his owner is willing to deal and could use Furcal at SS.
