Snakes is one of the guys picked and he dominated a league I was in. Granted, he'd have the icon if he didn't support a lame team like the Phillies but what can you do huh?

i kinda just said this to rookies in a pm. i feel like my spot should probably go to someone with a little more to prove. ive been in a league with probably half you guys, so i know i dont have much to prove in the "beat the experts" aspect. i just like being in competitive leagues with a lot of different people, which is why i showed interest in this league to begin with, but now im feeling as though my spot should go to someone with a little more to prove.

Also after I win the Cafeholics league I will more than likely get an expert icon so I am in for next year

Snakes nobody has more to prove than you. 15,000+ posts and no expert icon? Say what? You need to win this league to get the icon. As for me joining, you keep your spot. I want to see how you do. I have zero to prove those that have been in league with me understand as much. I was under the assumption that this was a roto league without a moves limit etc..., thats the only way I would play. Reason is simple, fun. I do stupid things thoughout the year like picking up Omar Vizquel, why? Because I like the guy. The league has spoken they can not handle the Cow, who can?

I will say to L.A.guy, I will join a league with you, sure. Plenty of quality players to go around here in the cafe. I am sure others in this thread would be interested.

No problem. In my case, once I saw the high quality trash talk floating around, I knew I was a goner!

Post the standings every once in awhile. I'd be curious how the average joe non-experts make out against the globally recognized experts.

winning a league will not get me an icon, nor change anyone's opinion of me. i have already won leagues with people in this one.

see the thing is. very few people here have been in a league with you, even though you spew some off the wall things and claim how great you are.

to only play one format limits your abilites and knowledge in my eyes. sure you can prefer one way over another, but to just not play one way is selling yourself short.

Works for me, though I'm going to do everything I can to keep Yoda from leaving this league, including doing his homework if necessary.
