Fielder for Joba and Kouzmanoff

Postby WBC » Thu Nov 20, 2008 9:53 pm

18 Team Dynasty League

Here are my batters+
Pujols, Vmart, Agon, Fielder, Hamilton, Cano, Wright, Peralta, Sizemore, Markakis

Here are my Starters+
Webb, Verlander, Hughes, Hamels, Litsch, Blanton

I know I am an offensive powerhouse. I was able to build my team that way by basically mortgaging my farm system and pulling some quantity for quality deals.

Bottom line is, i was wondering if it is beneficial for me to trade a big bat for a pitcher and a lesser bat. I was thinking of

Fielder for Joba Chamberlain and Kevin Kouzmanoff

Is it worth it?

I think you are selling yourself short there; I'd want 2 sure things for Fielder

Not a good trade for you. Kouz is not a solid 3B. He has some upside but I don't think he will every full reach his potential. Who knows what role Joba will play next season. He could start or he could be a reliever or worse of all he could bounce back and forth.

You should be able to get more for Fielder.

I agree that you should try to move one of your 3 1B. I would try to move Adrian though, because as long as he remains in Petco his power output is going to be suppressed.

Don't do it. That's a nasty and relatively young core for a dynasty. Don't be looking to break it up.

I wouldn't do it. First off, Fielder is worth much more than Joba and Kouz.

Second, your staff is not pretty good already for an 18 team league. Webb, Hamels, Hughes and Verlander are an excellent start. An SP is not so important thta you can give up the value in a big bat.
