Final Keeper, Hart or Volquez? WHIR

Postby LouSeal24 » Thu Nov 20, 2008 8:56 pm

12 team, 5x5, Roto, 7 keepers

My (tentative) six keepers so far:
1. Pujols
2. Miguel Cabrera
3. BJ Upton
4. Vlad
5. Webb
6. Kazmir

And then I have mostly narrowed it down to Corey Hart or Edinson Volquez for the last spot, and am leaning more towards Hart. So which should it be?

The only other player on my team that I would consider worth mentioning as another option would be Soto.

Between the first two I think I would go with Volquez. I just don't see Hart doing much more than he already has where as Volquez could easily improve on his totals from last year. I actually would probably take Soto though over any of them.

I like Hart. He has the best trade value (ADP) in drafts I've seen, and even on a bad year, he went 20-20.

Don't keep three pitchers. Gotta go with Hart here.

Hart easily. I don't trust Volquez to improve or even repeat last years early season success.

Hart. You are already keeping two pitchers.

If you look at Volquez whip, it was pretty high. His expected era should have been higher. I think he has a hard time repeating those numbers.
