I am in an 18 team Dynasty league and I am working on a 3 way deal with 2 other GM's.
I wanted to know who gets the best deal at face value. Please take contracts into consideration
TEAM A GETS: Chris Volstad (5 year contract) Chase Headley (5 year contract) Chris Young, Outfielder (3 Year contract)
TEAM B GETS: Max Scherzer (4 Year contract) Mark Reynolds (4 Year Contract) Nick Markakis (2 Year contract)
TEAM C GETS: Prince Fielder (2 Year contract) Matt Laporta (No contract yet, but when he is called up he gets a 5 year contract)
This is how it is broken down by who is GIVING what:
TEAM A GIVES: Prince Fielder (2 Year contract) Nick Markakis (2 Year contract)
TEAM B GIVES: Chris Volstad (5 year contract) Chase Headley (5 year contract) Matt Laporta (No contract yet, but when he is called up he gets a 5 year contract)
TEAM C GIVES: Max Scherzer (4 Year contract) Mark Reynolds (4 Year Contract) Chris Young, Outfielder (3 Year contract)
I had a tough time deciding between B or C, but A gets raped. Volstad and Headley might have 5 yr contracts, but I don't see either becoming top 100 players during that time. Meanwhile they give up 2 guys that are easily top 50 (although on 2 yr contracts). And I'm not a big fan of Chris B Young although he'll get you SB's.
Team A is getting the worst part of this deal. Gives up a lot and gets very little in return. As for who wins I would probably say Team C although Team B isn't to bad either. A lot depends on how Max does for Arizona.

I am with everyone else here. Fielder and Markakis are so far and away the best players in this deal, that even with the limited years, they are definitely the best overall contracts to get.
Team B and C are very close.
I think team B gets a little more than team C and gives up about the same, so I guess team B is the winner, but there are a lot of unknowns involved so tough to say.
A is really losing by quite a bit. Nothing vetoable or anything, but it is bad news for team A.
