Who got the better of this deal? WHIR

Postby nutjobs » Wed Nov 19, 2008 7:42 pm

RF Justin Upton, 3B Brent Morel(white sox), and 1B/OF Mark Kotsay for OF Travis Snider, RP Casey Weathers(Rockies), and SP Shaun Marcum. Simple question on a talent level who got the better of this deal in your opinion?

Pretty even IMO.

Upton has higher ceiling than Snider, but Snider isn't too shabby himself. The two other guys on Upton's side are nothing and although Weathers and Marcum are out for the 09 season, I'd take them easily over Kotsay and Morel. Heck, I have never even heard of this Morel guy.

Upton dwarfs Snider in terms of ceiling.

Upton's ceiling is so immense that this is an easy choice.
