Dodgers sign Izturis, 16 others

Vero Beach, FL (Sports Network) - Los Angeles signed shortstop Cesar Izturis to a one-year contract Friday.

Izturis and 16 others agreed to a one-year deal with the Dodgers.

Last season, in 158 games with the Dodgers, Izturis hit .251 with one home run, 40 RBI and 10 stolen bases.

Los Angeles also came to terms with pitchers Yhency Brazoban, Andrew Brown, Steve Colyer, Jason Frasor, Joel Hanrahan, Edwin Jackson, Hong-Chin Kuo and Orlando Rodriguez; outfielders Reggie Abercrombie, Chin-Fen Chen and Wilkin Ruan, infielders Willi Aybar and Joe Thurston, catchers Koyie Hill and David Ross and utility player Jason Romero.
