like I said before, I've never owned Peavy so I really didn't have that great a feel for if he's lost a little luster from prev years. I noticed his K's were way down & know he missed some time this year so naturally his innings & K's would be down. The ERA N WHIP are still top notch but thats sure to change some leaving SD. With so many acceptable options later avail with SP this year, I was looking to stay away from early SP picks as much as possible, but it appears he's still safe to choose

PEAVY..... (4th round is fine for peavy)
He once hit a ball between my legs so hard that my center-fielder caught it on the fly backing up against the wall.

If Satch (Paige) and I were pitching on the same team, we would clinch the pennant by July fourth and go fishing until World Series time.

When you are left with the choices then Peavy stands far and above everyone else. You need to keep value and Peavy has the most.
