Offseason Agenda for Dynasty

I ended up finishing third this year after being in 1st/2nd for most of the year. I feel like I have a solid team for next year but I'm looking for input as far as if there are any positions I should target or players I should try to sell high on.

14 teams, 5x5, dynasty, must keep at least 6 Red Sox players on the roster

to me the guys you can get more for now than later would be Dice, Youk, Manny, M Young or Ortiz

I would try to sell Ibanez when he signs with a new team since it's likely that they'll be saying: he's going to a better park, he'll be in a better lineup, he'll be hitting in front of player X. And this will likely increase his trade value quite a bit. And you are pretty deep at OF with good, but not great players.

I do like your team how it's setup. yadi won't kill you at C for now and Wieters could be a big stud in the future. Chipper is perfect to have on your team with Alvarez in the minors. Good starting rotation with a couple of guys with upside and very good closers (at least 2 of them) with secure jobs.

I just dealt Hawpe/Cook for Ethier/Asdrubal Cabrera. I figure this gives me a better option at OF with Ethier and a nice backup in Cabrera.

I like that deal for you because of Ethier's upside. And like kab said, I like that you have Wieters and Alvarez behind you in the minors at two of your weaker positions. If anything I might try to shop Ortiz around just to see what he could bring you in return, maybe in a package with Sanchez is what I would suggest. Otherwise I think you are in good shape for next year. Keep an eye on the closer roles in the offseason. Marmol's value seems to be going up with Gregg being brought up and supposedly being done with Wood. Affeldt many are talking about moving into the closer role as well. I know the Cards are looking at him.

I'd try to sell high on Michael Young and Chipper "My arms and legs are attached by string" Jones. You could target Gamel and Escobar of the Brewers for your minors list, as they will probably still be fairly cheap before they come up to play. Of course, if Youkilis is 3B eligible in your league you can just shift him over to there. I usually like to go with speed out of the SS spot so anybody with high SB totals is nice. You may also want to try and pickup Lars Anderson (as he would fill your 1b spot eventually and is a Boston player) for your minors list. Your team looks pretty decent though, should be in the playoffs again.
