Dynasty Closer: Gregg, Zumaya or C. Perez?

Which closer?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Which pitcher do you think will have the most saves in the next three years?

Joel Zumaya, Tigers
Chris Perez, Cardinals
Kevin Gregg, Marlins

Which team is more likely to acquire a closer this offseason, Tigers or Cardinals?

Will Kevin Gregg keep the Marlins closer job long term, or will they trade him to a contender?

Zumaya needs to be given the job first, but he's more upside than the other two.

I think Perez will easily have the most saves in the next 3 yrs. And Gregg will be traded this offseason or at the deadline. He's a FA at the end of the year and probably not closer material when he hits FA.

I didn't follow Zumaya at the end of the season, but even though he had a 3.47 ERA he also had a 5.78 FIP with 22BB in 23IP for a 2.00 WHIP. He's obviously isn't back yet from his rather serious injury. Especially considering that he missed the month and half of the season. I don't think he'll be a closer at all in '08 and they sign or trade for a closer.

Perez pretty easily. Zumaya may never be the same and Gregg is horrible.

for sure Perez it looks like he will step in for the Cardinals. Gregg is now in Chicago and will likely be just a setup man. Zumaya who knows if he will be great again or not. I go Perez
