I think Holliday's going to be hurt by Oakland more than most people do, but still, Morneau + Atkins < Holliday + the extra pick (something like Haren)

i agree, this is a solid buy low. cant see him getting signed to an extension in oakland.

You should absolutely pull the trigger. Atkins will most likely be traded, and his number will drop precipitously. I agree with the poster who stated that Atkins is droppable; I still cannot believe that I passed over Lincecum in the 7th to get Atkins (yes, I am a tad jaded). That leaves you with Morneau and Holliday, which right now could be a wash. I have read rumors about the A's expanding payroll, which could bring Holliday some protection. That said, he is only going to be 3-6 month rental until he gets traded to a contender, at which point his value eclipses Morneau's. So pull the trigger, be patient, and then reap the reward.
