I'm hopping on the bandwagon. I got him as my final starter and only one other guy in the league (12 team league) had even heard of him. Dodger Stadium, good bullpen, great arm.
Roger Angell: I was talking with Bob Gibson and I said: 'Are you always this competitive?' He said: 'Oh, I think so. I got a three-year old daughter, and I've played about 500 games of tic-tac-toe with her and she hasn't beat me yet.'
The obvious leader in the race to become the next Prior.
I think he gets roughed up on the diamond more than being a diamond in the rough.
I don't doubt he has a big future, I just don't think the future is now.
If I didn't have Prior/Pedro/Oswalt/Miller/Peavy/Willis/Harden maybe I'd be more interested.
With all the Foppert/Ainsworth/Harden hype last year they kind of disappointed. Meanwhile, guys most people never heard of like Willis and Webb took the league by storm. Take the gamble if you need it, but don't be afraid to cut him loose for some guy you never heard of surpassing him with a good sinker or a funky delivery.

Good analysis there, DG. I'd grab Eddy late in the draft, see how he does in his first few starts, and if it doesn't seem like he's ready, cut him loose and grab the flavour of the week, ie: Loiaza, Webb, Willis from last year, and hope they turn out to be good all season.
Hey, I just used "loose" and "flavour of the week" in the same sentence............
"Jack, will you call me, if you're able?"
"I've got your phone number written, in the back of my Bible."
Still trying to decide between him, Lawrence, Penny, and Sheets. Soriano is still out there too, but if he's not starting or closing he won't do me much good this year.
