The above top 8 are clear to me....all your hitters + Lincecum and Volquez. I have a hard time on the last drop. It's between Ludwick and Volquez for me. I think I drop Ludwick.

He once hit a ball between my legs so hard that my center-fielder caught it on the fly backing up against the wall.

If Satch (Paige) and I were pitching on the same team, we would clinch the pennant by July fourth and go fishing until World Series time.

$3-S.DREW
$5-LUDWICK
$32-PUJOLS
$5-YOUKALIS
$5-PENCE

$20-LINCECUM
$5-VOLQUEZ

The only hard decision was Mad Max or Volquez, as I expect similar numbers from then next year. But Volquez is cheaper, so go with him.

Thanks. No love for Ludwick? You guys think his numbers will drop off? I wasn't sure about Lincecum...but in our league Santana went for $35 and Peavy $32 last year so figured he might be a bargain.

I think these are my picks. But a case can be made for Youkilis, Harden and Scherzer. I think Lincecum, Pujols and Drew are the locks. And then pick 3 out of Ludwick, MClouth, Pence and Youkilis. I like MClouth and Pence because they can go 20-20 or better. And although Ludwick will drop off some I think Youkilis returns to merely an ordinary player also. But 1B and OF are both fairly deep positions, so there isn't a benefit there. And I don't trust Harden or Scherzer to stay healthy although I don't necessarily trust Volquez (he's cheaper).

Youkalis qualifies at 3B in my league...so I think that adds to his value.

I forgot about that. I might keep him because of that flexibility. And although I like Pence's SB's, I trust his bat the least. All of your hitters are so close in performance and price that it is a tough choice between any of them.
