Dynastey trade help

Postby Bigball » Sun Nov 09, 2008 8:25 am

I traded for Quintin last season and he will move into LF leaving me open to moving Ibanez.

I have been offered Daniel Cabrera and JA Happ.

I can put Happ in my minors but Cabrera will only have 1 year before he needs to be resigned.

Ibanez gets no love but he is a solid LF who produces year after year especially in a 16 team Dynasty. I know he is old but he may get traded increasing his value if he goes to a hitters park or plays on a contender.

My thought is I look for a better deal for Ibanez - Cabrera is an underachiever with elbow issues and Happ is a 26 year old who prospects who may need more seasoning.

I need SP - but I am not sure this deal works - anyone have information on any of these guys?

Ibanez is a free agent. Wait until he signs somewhere then market him for trade. His value will be hyped then. Like you said, he is underappreciated and I would never trade him for junk like Cabrera.

Hang onto Ibanez. Like San D said, maybe if Ibanez signs with a big market team, his value in your league could rise and you might be able to snag a better pitcher in a deal.

Thanks guys - I felt the same way about him. He is old but he does have value - especially when you need to have a legit LF,RF,CF in our league.

I will hold on to Ibanez.
