Span shouldn't be an option. He'll be lucky to get 10 HR's/yr. I don't know where people get this 15-20 HR projections him.
Liriano or Hart are the tempting picks if someone gets scared about Vlad's health and wants to look at upside. Regardless of your last keeper this is a very good keeper list.
SP: J. Santana , Burnett, Liriano, Greinke, Moose, Wainwright, Moyer CL: Mo, Fuentes Bench: Mike Gonzalez, Scherzer
Burnett had a great yr, depends where he goes and if he can stay healthy 2 yrs in a row. Crawford and Vlad are not auto. keepers anymore, but still worthy. HArt would be my other one, maybe instead of crawford
I think if you can get any value for Vlad, you move him and keep Hart. I can't see you getting decent value for Crawford - this is pretty much the lowest his value has been since he broke into the league. He'll still be just 27 next year. Hang onto him unless you get an excellent deal.
Vlad had his knee drained this offseason. Angels did pick up his option, but would not talk contract extension. This tells you something about his overall health. Of course, that could really motivate Vlad as well. Span could be next Crawford / Upton. Could have three 20/40 guys on your team. Obviously you trade one. Liriano. Post all star Liriano was as good as Santana.
How long is this keeper? 3yr? The longer the keeper, the more likely I would go with the risky play with more upside.
How could you mention Span and not even bring up Corey Hart? He's basically posted two 25/25 seasons in a row?
