William Rowell....3B Bal

Postby Bigball » Fri Nov 07, 2008 12:12 am

has he lost his luster? Seems to have faded out of the picture a bit.

Anyone shed some insight here - is he worth trading a 22 pick in a dynasty league. Very deep league and I need to add a 3B prospect on my farm.

My thought here is better players will be on the board at 22 but he may be worth a later pick.

Anyone have any insight?

Thanks in advance - WHIR

Any idea what players might be available with the 22nd pick?

Off the top:all players from this years draft.
Most of the top players are taken each year with our 10 round draft - each team can only carry 15 ML players.
So there is a filtering process that must be done each year.

Guys like Bumgarner, Bard and others who slipped through the cracks.

Here is my ML team:
Guys in bold I am considering trading or upgrading.

Arencibia, J.P. C TOR
DeWitt, Blake 3B LA
Triunfel, Carlos SS SEA
Hernandez, Gorkys OF ATL
Heyward, Jason OF ATL
Hunter, Cedric OF SD
Parra, Gerardo OF ARI
Rasmus, Colby OF STL
Schafer, Jordan OF ATL
Stubbs, Drew OF CIN
Carrasco, Carlos SP PHI
Detwiler, Ross SP WAS
Aumont, Phillippe P SEA
Melancon, Mark P NYY
Meloan, Jon RP CLE

Any possible trade ideas:
I offered Parra - similar ceiling but he countered with 22pick.

I have since declined the offer.

I would hang onto the pick. Rowell isn't a Top 10 3B prospect anymore; there will be better players on the board.

I agree. Rowell is very shaky at 3B and a good chance he won't stick anyways.
