I am in a bit of a pickle right now in a 12 team 5x5 H2H keeper league, keep up to 10 players. Here are my keepers as of now:
1b A.Gonzalez 2b R.Cano 3b Ar.Ramirez ss H.Ramirez of N.Markakis util D.Ortiz sp D.Price sp C.Zambrano ss S.Drew sp J.Verlander
Notice I have Hanley and Drew, which gives me a bit of a SS logjam. I'm finding it hard to get decent value out of Stephen Drew, who I feel is #4-5 shortstop going into next year. I clearly have an issue with speed so I am looking for a power/speed combo outfielder to give me a bit of a boost. I have been proposed Grady Sizemore and Corey Hart for Hanley Ramirez. What do you guys think about that?
It should solidify my outfield, and give me some speed. Plus I have Drew who I can put at SS. That will put me over the 10 keepers, but I can just drop out Zambrano or Verlander or trade one of them for a draft pick.
I countered that trade with Sizemore and BJ Upton for Hanley and Ortiz, but the other manager probably won't go for that. Thoughts?

I'd much rather have the Hanley/Ortiz side. Who are your fringe keeper options? I think I'd try and package Drew and Verlander/Zambrano for someone if you can't get someone you like for Drew.
Don't trade Hanley. Worst case that happens is that you have 2 of the top 10 SS's after the draft. And somebody is stuck with crap. I also think Drew's value will go up as ADP's come out.

This is the correct answer. Just because you have two solid SS doesn't mean you have to trade one. Especially Hanley, that'd be silly. If anything, wait for Drew's value to raise once the season starts and shore up a weakness you have after the draft.
