Thoughts on Carrasco?

So your prospect evaluation is based on 70 IP in AA as a 20 yr old in 2007? And conveniently ignoring the fact that he improved alot in all of the areas that you bring up this past season. He still has some improvement to do, but he's still young and the scouts seem to like his stuff (his rankings last year after lackluster results).

But I don't think he will be fantasy relevant this season. I don't think he'll be in the rotation out of spring training and I think he'll struggle similar to most rookies that are brought up. And the park doesn't help him (although he'll get a decent amount of GB's). But long-term he's definitely intriguing especially if you're in a league with farm keepers.

Thanks for all the comments guys. The posts reflect exactly why I asked the question, a mixed bag of reactions. I am in a 24 teamer w/MiLB roster, so I think I'll make a small push for him.
