Final Keeper - Jay Bruce or Corey Hart? WHIR

Postby Gags Sports » Mon Nov 03, 2008 7:44 pm

I can keep one of these two to go along with Carl Crawford, Chase Utley and Johan Santana. This is a 10 team, 5x5 roto league.

I'm struggling between thinking that Hart is the better bet for '09, yet I think Bruce is the better bet long-term.
So who do I go with?

Leave a link and I'll help you out. Thanks.

I would go Bruce. We have already seen Hart's upside, but Bruce can hit 30+ HR in a few seasons. I would expect Bruce to go through some growing pains next season, but he is still your pick.

Bruce, no question. 21 jacks straight out of the minors in 108 games? Yeah, I'll take some of that.

We haven't seen Harts upside yet. He's only going to be 27, entering his peak.

Personally I would only take Hart if you really needed the SB's (but I think Bruce will steal a few more next season). With Crawford and Utley's 10-15 I think you are set there.

But for some reason I can't think of either as a top 40 player (10 team, 4 keeper). Just my opinion. Both are good though and Bruce does have the upside.
