Polanco is in no way a slouch at 2B. He's involved in the Batting Title chase every year and scores plenty of runs. People discount him too much because of his lack of power. He makes up for it in other areas.

I would do it, you get a stud 2B and still have Delgado at 1B. Polanco is only a filler. DO IT
