I'd stick with Cabrera. Sure, there are loads of mashing dudes at 1B, but Cabby's special. Since it's a keeper league, I'd go with the young buck. He's about 5 years younger than Utley, and might not have even reached his full potential yet. And as good as his numbers were this year for Detroit, they'll get better next season. He had to adjust to a new league and a new position at the same time, then got into a groove with very little support over the second half.

For all intends and purposes (if you assume it's a wash between Utley and Cabs) it would be Polanco for Young right? Utley to 2B, Delgado to 1B and Young to UTIL.... So yeah, I'd probably make that trade.
He once hit a ball between my legs so hard that my center-fielder caught it on the fly backing up against the wall.
If Satch (Paige) and I were pitching on the same team, we would clinch the pennant by July fourth and go fishing until World Series time.

You either have a hole at 1B or at 2B. But, 1B is easier to go out and get than 2B, so you're probably doing yourself a favor by grabbing Utley.
Agree here, but I will add that this is the year Miggy has a better year than Utley. However looking at your team your team I like the Utley/Delgado combo better than Miggy/Polanco. Polanco is pretty weak and 1B are easier to find than 2B.

You can't go wrong with either Utley or Miguel Cabs. Still, why not trade Delgado for a medocre 2b and solve the problem that way if you can? Delgado is unreliable and old and I would not want to rely on him unless I had no choice.
Utley turns 30 next month so I wouldn't really factor age in right now, for the next 2-3 years I'd still take the hard to fill 2nd base position. He's worth more in trades, fits in better with your current team. I'm just a little bit afraid Cabrerra's hot head gets him in trouble 1 of these years, tho thats probably not a viable fantasy factor. to me, Utley's still the unofficial "hardest player in fantasy to trade for", owners just don't want to part with him
