How to attack the Off-Season? WHIR!

24 Team Dynasty, H2H Points Based

My team seems to be a 'tweener. I don't think I have the team to win it all this season as it stands now. Should I deal players such as Pujols, Peavy, Papelbon, Tulo etc... and get more young talent to build around Bruce, Longoria, Weiters and my MiLB SP. OR should I deal players such as Tillman, Hellickson, Gamel, Lars, Brett Anderson etc... and try to win it this year?

Any thoughts on those questions or comments on other strategies is welcomed. WHIR! Thanks.

can't say I've played in a 24 team league but this team looks pretty darn good to me. certainly good enough to play for this year, which I believe you almost always want to do except for the total rebuild. Get Owings or 1 more SP to step up and you'll be right there

wow that looks very very good for a 24 team league . maybe go for a good young pitcher with lots of potential to fully complete your team

If anything I would trade a prospect or two for a solid pitcher, because I think you might have enough to challenge next season.

In a 24 team league, I'd think you'd be on the top half of your league which is always worth making that push. I'd say put those pitching prospects out on the block and see what offers come back your way.

You definitely want to build with young studs in a big dynasty league. Trading older players (for your team it seems anyone in their prime or over) to competing teams will let you rape them of their young talent.

Your team as is looks very impressive already and you shouldn't have a problem getting into the playoffs. Just make sure if you do make any trades to keep all the young players you can. Your team could be a little short on SB so maybe you could try to trade for Maybin who should be leading off for the Marlins next season. And as a personal preference, i'd try to upgrade on Tulo who I am not all that high on. You could also attempt to go after Alcides Escobar for your minors roster who will be able to take over for A.Ramirez when he is up full time.

Looks like a great team to me. Try to trade some of the minor league talent along with some good players to better ones.

You do have a good team. Go for it this year. If saves are not highly valued , I would trade Soria for a starting pitcher. There's probably a couple teams with no closers who may trade a decent starting pitcher for one. If saves are highly valued , then I would trade a couple prospects for a pitcher. But I wouldn't trade Tillman. I think he'll be a good one.
