Okay it is time to figure out who to keep and who to try and trade. I’m posting the guys I’m thinking of keeping and the points they scored in my league last year. We can keep 8 I am definitely keeping Rollins and Sizemore, but the rest are in question.
Sizemore. 505.5 Rollins. 428 Beltran. 479.5 McLouth. 437.5 Carlos Quentin. 405 – missed 4 scoring periods
I'd keep all five of the hitters you listed (allthough I'd probably try to trade an Outfielder plus Verlander and/or Gallardo since you wouldn't keep them for a top catcher or 2B) and Billingsley, Dice-K, and Cain.
If you do decide to go for a trade I'd deal Beltran or Quentin before Sizemore or McClouth.
He once hit a ball between my legs so hard that my center-fielder caught it on the fly backing up against the wall.
If Satch (Paige) and I were pitching on the same team, we would clinch the pennant by July fourth and go fishing until World Series time.
I'd certainly keep Billingsly & try to get full value for Dice in a trade. Cain is probably going to be tough to move for what he should be worth, same for Verlander.Beltran is probably going to go for about as much now as he ever will, if I had to trade 1 of the hitters, he's the 1 I'd part with. Keep Billingsly & Quentin, barter with the rest
If you try to move someone I would move McLouth. He faded badly in the 2nd half and I'm not sure the first half McLouth is coming back.
This is only partially correct. His SLG did fall yes, but he was able to steal 12 bases and get on base at about the same clip as he did in the first half of the season. I think his contact numbers point towards a similar season next year, but agree to disagree I suppose.

Badly might have been a stretch but you really expect a similar season to 07? 113 R, 26 HR, 94 RBI, 23 SB, .276 BA I guess I just don't see a repeat of the power and expect a dip in R and RBI.
Packaging Dice-K with a hitter for an upgrade would be ideal. If you can't, I would let Dice and Yov loose and keep the rest.
I believe in Verlander rebounding, and having watched 30 some odd Dice starts this season, I don't know how he can walk so many guys without paying for it.
