spring training stats?

Postby justinA » Fri Mar 05, 2004 9:11 pm

does anyone have any good sites for individual stats for ST? I went to the normal places ESPN, CBS, etc. and couldnt find anything but the records of the teams. Thanks. IT will help alot to see exactly how the players are doing, in numbers.

I believe MLB.com keeps track of ST stats.

Be wary of spring training stats. The intensity level is different, the level of competition, etc. It's not good to make any decisions based on spring training numbers.
Roger Angell: I was talking with Bob Gibson and I said: 'Are you always this competitive?' He said: 'Oh, I think so. I got a three-year old daughter, and I've played about 500 games of tic-tac-toe with her and she hasn't beat me yet.'

On regulars and stars...then no...but spring training is where the young guys earn jobs in the majors...and yes, stats are worth paying attention to for the future...esp for me, cuz I have a minor league draft in my league...but they are worth noting for sure...
