JP Ricciardi should be fired.. then the new GM should sign Adam Dunn.
some of what Ricciardi says is a joke. he doesnt want Dunn? but instead he will bring in has beens like Brad Wilkerson, Kevin Mench, Shannon Stewart. good job JP, im sure those guys will get the job done.. oh wait they didnt. JP is an idiot and shouldnt be a GM.
if Dunn can put up the numbers he has without liking baseball that much, imagine what he could do if someone could get him to like baseball.
as a Jays fan i would like to see the Jays become a contender, but my dislike for Ricciardi i almost want to hope the Jays dont do so well for the next 2 years so Ricciardi wont be given an extension. his contract runs til the end of 2010. hell part of me feels like hoping the Jays bomb in 2009 just so Ricciari can finally be fired, i mean come on what does it take to get the guy fired???
1. CC Sabathia - Yankees 2. Mark Teixiera - Yankees, somebody didn't make the playoffs last year and they won't allow that to happen again 3. AJ Burnett - Orioles - bad pick by them but they need pitching 4. Manny Ramirez - Dodgers 5. Ben Sheets - Mets 6. Adam Dunn - Mariners 7. Francisco Rodriguez - Mets 8. Derek Lowe - Red Sox 9. Bobby Abreu - Cubs 10. Pat Burrell - San Francisco - they continue their puzzling rebuilding plan 11. Rafael Furcal - Dodgers 12. Brian Fuentes - Brewers 13. Milton Bradley - Rays - a shorter contract fits their long term budget 14. Randy Johnson - Astros but who cares, he's finished 15. Pedro Martinez - Mets, but it will be a one year contract
Tiebreaker: Guess the total amount of money C.C. Sabathia signs for this winter. 137M including a gauranteed option buyout, but not the option

Are we looking at the same player? 3.91 ERA, 1.23 WHIP, and a K/9 of almost 9. Sure, he's old as hell and he can't go as far into the game as he used to, but he can obviously still bring it.
Rocinante2: you know Rocinante2: its easy to dismiss the orioles as a bad team ofanrex: go on Rocinante2: i'm done Rocinante2: lmao

Sometimes it's difficult to change one's perception when you're not paying attention to someone. It appears that he does have a little left in the tank.
