Where do we go from here? Who do we keep and let go?

That's a loaded question!

For the fans we simply wait until the season is over and most likely avoid watching the World Series because deep down inside we all know that we would have kicked the Phillies collective bats! This is going to be a long winter because we can talk about almost making it to the World Series again as well as some of the highlights of the season but, let's face it, there is nothing better than talking about winning yet another World Series during the offseason.

As for our team, who will we keep and who will we dump? I doubt Byrd will be kept and Cora might have seen his end. Coco Crisp might be traded away, that is if Jacoby's post season does not scare them into keeping Crisp for another season.

I doubt Kotsay and his swing first at anything mentality will remain. Lowrie should take over full time as SS. Lowell hopefully will be back and here is the big question: what do we do with Jason Varitek? He really has a hard time at bat but, he is super behind the plate guiding our pitchers. Do we draft a catcher? Do we find a better catching prospect to have and to hold for a solid backup?

These are the issues we can talk about as we wait for April to come rolling in.
Once again, thank you Boston for your great effort and a fun season.
