For all the Baseball fanatics out there,

I'm a die-hard baseball fan(Mets) and thus makes me a die-hard fantasy baseball fan. What I would like to do is get 29 others to go along with myself to run the respected baseball franchises. I was a part of something like this last year, but it fell apart due to lack of commitment. I understand its extremely difficult to get 29 other baseball nuts, but I figured this was the best site to try, as far as football goes this site is unreal, but I have yet to find a baseball site like it.

They way this league would work would be, once all 30 people are in, I would create a forum on some website dedicated to the league. From there I would randomly create a draft order and based on that, you choose the franchise you want to control. For example, If I had the first pick I would take the Mets, and in turn control all their players, and minor leaguers. Now, for those that got the bottom end of the draw, it would be a tougher climb...but I would implement a 150 or 175 million dollar cap, which ever is more popular so that it makes the league more competitive, right off the bat the Yankees would have to cut or trade 25 million or so.

More rules and statistical scoring for wins and losses will come when I can get 30 teams.


Really hope to gain some interest from baseball fans out there.

30 teams is going to be tough (seems like its hard enough to keep 12 guys together for an entire season) but let me know if it gets going: ecdobler@yahoo.com

seems like a tall task getting 30 guys together who would be willing to play out the season if they end up picking near the bottom & end up with Pitt or SD franchises. Maybe you'd have better luck finding owners to run their fav teams ahead of time; just seems to me the last 1/2 of the picks are going to have a tough time staying interested if they don't get their top choice or 2

I have really been looking for a league like this so instead of waiting to see if this was going to happen I just created my own league and board. Everyone who has posted in this thread are invited to check it out. I am in the process of creating the whole board and rules so it is a work in progress. I am hoping to have it all up and running by the end of the week. If you want in be sure to fill out a questionnaire so I can get in touch with you and be sure to check back frequently.
