Ha, yeah this is true but I'm still excited.
Finished with 8 SO. And has been clocked at 95 mph in his rehab starts, looking very promising
Just the fact he didn't get lit in high A ball is nice, and more importantly he's hitting 95... The most promising thing... this is his second start, and no talk of pain the next day... I'm keeping my fingers crossed he's able to stay healthy the remainder of the year
According to The Sports Xchange: Angels SP Kelvim Escobar (shoulder surgery) retired 18 of the 19 batters he faced in his second rehab start with Class A Rancho Cucamonga on Wednesday. Escobar allowed only a leadoff single in the third inning while striking out eight. He threw 76 pitches and is scheduled to make another rehab start on Monday for Triple-A Salt Lake. He could be activated from the DL to join the Angels during their June 5-7 weekend series in Detroit.
According to Angels Website on CBSsports: With off days Thursday and Monday, the Angels will shuffle their rotation and could skip RHP Matt Palmer. Palmer, in fact, might have made his last start for a while. RHP Kelvim Escobar is on track to return from his rehab assignment in time for a June 6 start in Detroit. That could be the next time the Angels need a fifth starter.
I have him stashed on 2 teams and hope this plays out as advertised.
Wait till he has a start in Salt Lake. See how he handles AAA. If he doesn't get rocked you might be okay to start him his first game back even, but watch the BB rates
I'll probably sit him in his first game since Detroit has been a solid offense this year, I'd rather play the cautious side... then again if he performs in Salt Lake like he did in A ball I'll be tempted to let him start.

I think it would be safe to do. He pitched decently back in spring training before the little set-back. Sadly, I have to find someone to drop off my roster to pick him up, but I'm pretty excited he's coming back.
yeah draft/trade/keeper would be better... and if you post a thread there and are willing to WHIR you'll probably get some good quick posts... but I'd rather have Escobar. Better division, track record of success, among other reasons.
