Rate the anchors 1-10 on how much you like them-
Chris Singleton(9/10)- I think he is great and one of my favorites ;-D
Tim Kurijian(9/10)- Another one I like at least when he is one I feel like he knows what he is talking about.
Peter Gammons(8/10)- See Kurkjian
Buster Olney- (8/10) I like hearing the inside info he gives
Karl Ravich- I like him more than Bethiamu becasue he gives less of the same lines.
KruK- (7/10) I love when he gets made fun of
Chris Berman( -9/10) !+) :-P :-t cant stand him.
Hershiser(9/10) Love listening to him talk pitching.
Steve Phillips (7/10) not great but enjoy hearing info from him
Vina( 4/10) I dont like him too much.
Cant think of any more right now. I reallly miss Reynolds :,-(

i dont have cable anymore so i havent seen much if any baseball tonight this season, but going off of what i saw from last year, and years past, theres no way i could agree with your ratings. you have one guy below a 7, and baseball tonight is not an 8+ show. they just scratch the surface when it comes to real baseball analyzing.

I like Singleton too. He did color for White Sox games on the radio, back in '06 and '07, and was horrible. Good to see he found his nitch. ;-D

Eduardo Perez and Eric Young rival Fernando Vina as the worst BBTN cast members.

eric young is terrible. he does not deserve ANY job on television.

also, peter gammons is NOT a 10/10. he might have been back in his heyday, but its not that good to me anymore and is way too focused on the AL East.

i do like kurkjian and olney though. they seem to be legit baseball guys with a long history and not just some ex player getting airtime (vina, young, etc..)

steve phillips seems good on the surface but when you really listen/watch him over the course of a few episodes, hes not very smart.

What's with all the Harold Reynolds love? I don't get the fascination.

Kurkjian is the best and I think Buck Showalter has been excellent this year. Kruk is pure entertainment at times. Gammons is good for the baseball anecdotes. Phillips is useful for answering questions about the system from a GM's perspective. Olney is OK but he is wrong a lot and he will always be a Yankees shill. I could do without the rest.

Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey

I don't like Tino, Singleton, EY, Hershiser, Perez, Vina at all. Ex players make horrible announcers/analysts, save Kruk/Reynolds to a extent.

Kurijian is the best by far. He gets what's important. Olney is good. Gammons and Kruk are entertaining. In a sick twisted way, i like Phillips, although i disagree with him for the most part.
