Need some help, prospect draft, who to choose?

Hello all, I need some advice from the experts. Im taking part of a 5 man propect draft, but the rules state that you cant pick a player in the yahoo database.


Here is who is already off the draft board.

#2 Mike Moustakas-3B
#3 Rick Porcello-P
#4 Joshua Blanco-P
#5 Matt LaPorta-OF
#6 Trent Oeltjen-OF
#7 Yonder Alonso-1B
#8 Neftali Feliz-P
#9 TBD
#10 TBD
#11 MINE

Im leaning towards these players.... But if there is something better out there then id like to hear about them too.

Trevor Cahill (my top pick right now...)
Jacob McGee
Jarrod Parker
Wade Davis
Andrew McCutchen

Thoughts please?

I'd go with Jason Heyward. He has massive offensive potential. Cahill will get to the majors sooner, but Heyward will be well worth the wait.

Thanks to some terrible picking you have a chance to grab a GREAT young talent in Heyward. I am in total agreement with DevilDriver in taking Heyward. There is not even another guy I would be looking at besides him. Tremendous talent and potential. By the way J.McGee is out with TJ surgery and likely won't pitch again until late 2009 at best. You should bump him down.

Whats up with the Trent Oeltjen pick? And Blanco was WAY too soon...

With that said Heyward is your pick here. I'd probably have Bumgardner as the next pitcher on my board...1 spot ahead of Cahill but Cahill isn't a bad choice obviously.

Thanks for the help, after doing more research into Heyward myself, I went with your advice.

Grabbed him with my 11th pick. The way this draft is going Im wondering if Cahill or Bumgarner will make it to me in the 2nd round..

Nevertheless ill be back to get more advice on who to choose. Thanks everyone.
