Any ideas why the game was played in Chicago and not in Minnesota? Didn't Minne win the season series.

Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey

yup, lame way to end the season imo, especially with how big home field advantage had been between the twins and white sox this year.

coin flip is the ultimate worst idea ever to decide anything. couldnt they use record vs one another, division record, al record, strength of schedule, anything?

yeah its pretty stupid that it comes down to a coin flip, that could have made the difference with how big homefield advantage has been for both these teams, as giantsfan said

On "Flip Friday", Chicago was leading the series with the Twins 8-7. Later that month the Twins swept a series against the Sox to take the season series.

I guess you can argue that the MLB is wrong about it being a logistical nightmare to wait until the finish of the regular season (may be, I don't know). Otherwise, I'm not sure what they're supposed to do?
