Playoff Baseball Rankings?

Postby Justin_Case » Tue Sep 30, 2008 11:36 am

Anyone know where I could get rankings for a playoff baseball pool?

Our pool will have a draft and you take 5 batters and 3 pitchers.

Wins = 15 Pts
Saves = 8 Pts
Single = 1 Pt
Double = 2 pts
Triple = 3 pts
HR = 4 pts
RBIs = 1 pt

Using these settings I'm thinking pitching is heavily weighed and I just need to hope I can get a starter and closer on the same team and start rooting... any thoughts?

I'd take 3 pitchers before I touched a hitter.

I'd make a team of all pitchers.

Would you rank Closers ahead of Starter?

I'm thinking that in a 5 game series the Closer has a good chance of at least 2 saves (16pts) and in 7 games they likely get 3 saves and they always have a chance to steal a W.

The max a SP can get is really 30 pts per series where the RP could possibly get 3*8 + 15 = 39
