Just curious what stats were for the final 2-week period for those of us who won their H2H championships. Here are mine in one league... All the gory details...
After it looked like I was going to obviously lose in ERA and WHIP, I started streaming in the final week in an effort to win W's and K's. My opponent started streaming as well, and thanks to Lackey stinking it up vs the Rangers for him, and an incredible last day by my staff, I ended up winning 10-2 (6x6)...
Also, big time credit in the final two weeks goes to... Choo: 13 runs, 4 homers, 15 rbis Aviles: 8 runs, 3 homers, 11 rbis, 2 steals Prince (finally): 7 runs, 4 homers, 14 rbis
I lost the final of this league in 2007 on the 2nd to last at-bat of the final day (a Juan Pierre double), but this year my hitters went ape____ from day one and I was never going to lose, even without a 2B. I'm on the left. Napoli hit .621 for the fortnight

The last day, Sunday, I lead the SB by 1. My opponent picked up J. Pierre, C. Gomez and I picked up a few SB guys myself. The end result was I had no additional SB, and my opponent only had 1. Thus we tied the category, and I won the league.
MVP would have to have been J. Reyes on my team. He contributed 6 of my teams 7 SB!

29 homers in a 2-week span is very nice.
So is 197 K's + 3.89 ERA. You must have pitched 4 million innings to get those K's, so your ERA is pretty sweet.

I'm in a 18 team points league. H2H, 250-280 usually wins each week. For the season I scored 7300 points, 400 over the next team, and nearly 1000 ahead of a couple.
That said, I lost my two playoff matchups (and any prize money) by a combined 14 points. Week 1 I started Peavy, who lost his start. Week 2 I lost a start for both Bush and Peavy. A mediocre start (5 IP, 5Ks, 3ER) in any of those situations would have given me the win.
And I made all the right moves. Benched Hart for Snider, Soto for Ianetta, Lowrie over Bruce. Still lost.

Yeah, Timmy had a little bit to do with that.
Heading into the final week we were tied at 6 and he had the ERA tiebreaker by a long shot. I was absolutely sure I had no chance to win ERA and WHIP -- my ERA was over 4.6 and my WHIP was around 1.5. I knew I had to win Ws and Ks to have a chance, so I started streaming pitchers like crazy.
I think my opponent got nervous because he started streaming as well, which worked in my favor. My spot starts did marginally better than his, then Lackey imploded for 10 ERs in 2.2 IP.
My staff's final day also had something to do with it as well: 0.57 ERA and 0.67 WHIP over 31.1 IP along with 3 Ws, 1 SVs, 28 Ks.
