If I get into the fulfilling sig/wallpaper requests game (which I very well might depending on your reaction), I won't do anyone whose ADP is top 50. The other fellas need attention too, you know.
Edit: (I think this is an improvement)
Constructive criticism welcome!

Rocinante2: you know Rocinante2: its easy to dismiss the orioles as a bad team ofanrex: go on Rocinante2: i'm done Rocinante2: lmao
Nothing really special. Any suggestions on how to improve it?
the text is too big for one, and i would make the main render of chris davis bigger as well. you need to be able to identify who the player actually is, and from that view, you cant tell if its davis, salty, mike young, blalock, etc...those would be my suggestions. i personally dont like the big 468x100 sigs, but if you do, ride with it. overall, pretty good. keep working.
Now how do I make it under 12 KB without murdering the quality?
assuming you use photoshop, the best way i've found to shrink the file without losing too much quality is the 'save for web' option.
i agree with snakes about the main render being too small, i'd probably crop from just below the texas on his shirt to where you cut it off on the helmet and see if that works better. I'm also not a big fan of the background and how its the colorless fans on the left and the logo and solid blue on the right. it just doesnt seem to flow well from side to side and kinda makes it feel like two different sigs entirely.

well, there is no "good" way to do it. one thing to focus on while actually making the sig (assuming you're planning on using here at the cafe) is to cut down on the layers and colors as much as possible. try to only use what you need. that being said, the save for web option is the only thing you can really do. usually it does hurt the quality of the sig and theres nothing you can really do.
I like what you did with the sig. The render size is fine IMO but because of its size the canvas should be smaller. I'd make it maybe 400 or less in width and make the text smaller. One thing that doesn't seem to flow well is the uneven feel of the coloring. To the left of Davis is a bit desaturated while the right is a Ranger blue...just doesn't seem to transition well, could just be my preference though. All in all nice job, keep it up.

Something I never do and never will. The quality is going to take a hit. Deal with it. I'm not going to handcuff my creativity because of the inevitability of the cafe hurting a sig's quality.
