True Blood

Postby Yoda » Mon Sep 22, 2008 11:25 am

Is anyone watching this show? My wife reads all these vampire/romance novels and she is really into this one. I watch it because Paquin is so hot.

Aside from the eye candy, how's the show itself? I'm tempted to check out the first episode on HBO on Demand...

My wife is into these romance novels big time too. That said, I think the show really stinks, and my wife feels the same.

I don't find Anna Paquin attractive at all. I had a huge crush on Rogue from the animated series and Anna Paquin ruined it all for me. :-t

As for True Blood, my girlfriend watched the first episode on the on demand channel we have at home and she said it was pretty good. I might check it out later and try to catch up.

After seeing episode 1, I'm on board. I think it's a funky idea, and the show has a different feel to it than I expected. Oh, and Bill is an absolute dead ringer for a real life vamp. Nice casting there. So far so good. ;-D

I thought this thread was about Adrian Beltre getting a paper cut for a second.

I said it in the other thread... Some of the acting is REALLY bad. The actors playing the "evil" vampires have taking suck to a new level. The brother who does nothing but get his freak on is almost as bad. Still, I keep watching. Something about it intrigues me even though synthetic blood for vamps was played out a long time ago and social commentary involving vamps doesn't do it for me.
