Could he? Yes. Will he? Probably not.

Either way it's a great season. I'm quite surprised he was able to reach that high of an SB figure. It just goes to show you how teams are changing the way they approach the game. There's definitely been a slight shift away from power and more towards speed.

I think he has ruined his chance by only having 1HR (4XBH) in his last 21 games. He got caught stealing earlier in week for only the second time all year.

I don't think so, although the fact that Holliday has only been caught twice this year is remarkable, considering he's not quite a speedster. From what I notice in the Dodger series last weekend, all 2 of his SB came off of big leads where the pitcher made his mind up with the pitch. It was believed Holliday had enough speed to post 10 or so SB but I think his reputation as a slugger makes him a bit more aggressive on the basepaths.

What I'd be more concerned about is if Holliday winds up anywhere but Colorado next year. He hasn't had that usual torrid September we've come to expect with a bulk of home games either for what it's worth.

I am beginning to really believe that monthly or even half splits are not even worth looking at when considering established players.

I'm just hoping for a few decent games from Holliday. He's been dreadful lately.

I'm with you on that R&C...he's killing me right now...

As for the original question, he had a shot at it when this week began IF he went on a tear. Now, I believe, that shot is gone much to my chagrin...
