I wouldn't qualify myself as totally unlucky but you don't expect this pitching staff to pitch like a bunch of Dewon Brazeltons, do you?

Francisco Liriano - 13.50 ERA, 3.00 WHIP
John Lackey - 6.75 ERA, 1.88 WHIP
Chad Billingsley - 11.57 ERA, 2.14 WHIP

Mike Gonzalez - 27.00 ERA, 3.00 WHIP
Scott Linebrink - 27.00 ERA, 3.00 WHIP

Even Brandon Webb gave up 3 runs in the first inning and at least settled down for a relatively pristine 2.57 ERA and 1.43 WHIP.

All for a grand total of....10.73 ERA, 2.14 WHIP

At least the bats have been brilliant or else, I wouldn't be tentatively ahead.

Ah, but did you put Shields in there tonight like I did??? Must have stepped on Lady Luck's feet one too many times in this dance...

Bills, Shields, Marcum and Lackey: 7.45 ERA and a 1.81 WHIP...

Let's just say I plugged in RJ and it's still an 8.62 ERA, 1.95 WHIP.

In a 20 team H2H keeper, I floated between 2nd and 5th all season long. With 2 weeks left untill the playoffs, my entire team hit the skids and I went from 2nd to 7th place and out of the championship bracket. On the final night, I needed 3 K's from B Webb to take the 6th spot. That night he couldn't have hit water if he fell out of a boat, and got yanked in the 3rd or 4th inning. Made me want to puke. All that work all season long for nothing.
